Admissions Information & How To Apply

There are two undergraduate specializations in Cellular, Anatomical and Physiological Sciences (CAPS): Major and Honours.

Students may apply to enter the Major specialization at the end of first year through the common application which is administered by the Office of the Dean of Science. If admitted for second year, students must follow the program of study and meet the academic standards below.

Students may apply to enter the Honours specialization after second year in CAPS if they achieved an 80% average across all required 2nd year CAPS Majors credits. CAPS Major students interested in transferring into the Honours specialization may apply to the CAPS Program Advisors at capsundergrad.advising@ubc.ca.

Non-CAPS students interested in transferring into the CAPS specializations after year 2 may apply to the Department at capsundergrad.advising@ubc.ca. Acceptance is contingent on excellent grades in related courses you have taken and space availability.

Permission of the Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences is required to alter the progression throughout the specialization.
