CPS Graduate Prizes

Ken Baimbridge Travel Award

A travel award of $700 will be given bi-annually to a graduate student to attend a scientific meeting in the field of neuroscience, such as, but not limited to, the annual meetings of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) and the Canadian Association for Neuroscience (CAN).

The student must be supervised by a faculty member in the Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences (CPS).  The names of eligible students must be submitted to the CPS Administrator by January 1st for meetings taking place between January 1 and June 30, and by July 1 for meetings held between July 1 and December 30 in the year of the award.


Peterson Award

A $1,000 monetary prize has been endowed by Dr. Raymond A. Pederson for the graduate student supervised by a faculty member of the Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences who gives the best annual Research Day oral presentation. The award is made on the recommendation of the Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences.


Top Graduate Student of the Year Prize

Prizes are awarded to the authors with the highest total impact factor for the year for all papers published. The prize will be awarded at the research retreat.
